I am so tempted to add tweezers and nail clippers to my little pouch of emergency basics! I also carry some painkillers in case of headache and ginger pills in case of nausea, and I have a little package of alcohol wipes for cleaning glasses/phone, and one of hand sanitizer wipes in case of other messes. But otherwise, my basic carry is very similar, and I build a tech or office pouch as needed for longer adventures!
Also - my husband loves to make tech pouches for travel - he curates those in the way that I curate my stationary pouch’s when I travel. Why is it so fun to have a small pouch of tool/toys? The world in my pocket!
I don’t feel that way when I look at my desk (though maybe your wall-of-tools makes you feel that way?)
The wall of tools is pretty amazing! My desk is a disaster regardless, though. I've also been taking some art classes out of the house lately so I have been living out of pouches more, and it is delightful, though I think I end up just finding duplicates of everything so that I have one I can see and one I know is packed and ready? So I may net out less-organized in the end...
The glasses wipes are smart! My new glasses get smudged more than the last (or they are fresh so the smudges stand out without the micro scratches and whatever). 🤣
This fascinates me because I have two modes- carrying just my phone and if necessary, key, in my pocket and that’s it (I basically only use Apple pay so it functions as a credit card too) and carrying my large bag that was meant to be for the gym but now I use for work and it has my laptop and a whole bunch of nonsense I don’t need in it and I have never bothered to organize or think about how to make it better. (We are talking like a sample of wallpaper from my last wallpapering project, some old papers, and who knows what else)
Maybe I should try and be more mindful of what I am carrying?
Sometimes I just carry my keys, wallet and phone into a store, and then I leave my phone on the counter 😬 And for a while I tried just using my project bag as my purse, but that also had some drawbacks as I switched projects. I actually used one of your small bags for keys and wallet, and tossed that in the diaper bag. It worked for a while, in the diaper bag years (so I still ALWAYS had a very large bag with me).
