At the beginning of summer, the first day of camp, I took myself out for a business meeting. I drank a coffee while I made a big mind map to get a sense of all the things I wanted to do and had to do and dreamed of doing this summer. I have so many fantasies about summer, about how productive I will be when my kids are at camp, and how far my mind will run with big ideas. And I am sure that THIS is the summer that I will finally learn how to use Adobe Illustrator (it has to click eventually, right?)
While it’s a complete fantasy, it still works better when I have some clarity at the beginning of the summer, so at least I can try to direct myself, even if I will never accomplish all the things.
So, here we are at the end of July, and I have accomplished a tiny portion of the things I was thinking about, but also, 873 new ideas or tasks have been added to the list. The car needed to get some repairs, I have read books on quiet afternoons, and I have brainstormed a lot. And I haven’t weeded the garden in weeks, so you can imagine what that looks like.
I have been working on a free template for mind mapping and a guide for those who want to use mind maps - or have tried but get stuck. It’s going to be available for new subscribers to my Substack account, but since you fabulous people are already here with me, you can just click this link to get a preview. The link is only going to be live for two days. After that, it’s only going to be available to new subscribers, so download your mind mapping tips and template today!
If you are reading this after July 30th, the links are not live. If you haven’t subscribed yet, all you need to do is hit the subscribe button and you’ll get the quick start guide to mind mapping and my printable template.
If you know of someone who would love this guide, encourage them to subscribe!
PS - I would love to see the maps you create! Or hear from you if you are still stuck - Where do you get stuck? Or what else do you want from your maps?
